Soledad, Maxi & Leo share their experience as a family at Lexis Manly. Find out more about their time at our campus!
Ever thought about studying English as a family? Recently, we had a lovely family from Chile studying with us here at Lexis Manly. Soledad and her two sons, Maxi (14) and Leo (12) spent 7 weeks at our campus and truly made the most of their experience and their time in Sydney. Today we will be sharing about their time at Lexis Manly, including highlights, fun times, and accomplishments.
Why did you chose Lexis Manly?
Soledad and her two sons Maxi and Leo are from Chile and were studying at Lexis Manly for 7 weeks in our General English class. They came at a perfect time to enjoy our beautiful Summer weather! When they first arrived at our campus, they had an awesome, positive energy and were ready to take on the challenges of learning a new language. They shared more with us on why they wanted to study at our campus: “We chose to study at Lexis Manly as we loved the location, right across from the beach. Soledad mentioned she searched many schools around Sydney, especially the city, and when she saw our amazing beach location, she knew she had to pick our campus.

Soledad, Maxi & Leo, had an awesome time at Lexis Manly and shared with us more on what made it so special: “Our experience at Lexis Manly was very positive, we met so many people from all around the world. Our class had students from Japan, Italy, Türkiye, South America, and it was so cool to have people from such different countries in the one class.” Soledad also mentioned: “The staff and the teachers make a great team, and were very patient and always happy to help us.” Soledad also talked with us about how she loved the interactive structure in the classroom, with the fun activities in classroom and after class. Soledad says: “It was a really great environment to learn English and made it a lot easier to learn the language.”
What has been one of your greatest memories while being a student here?
Soledad, Maxi & Leo loved to join our social activities and truly made the most of their experience at our campus. We asked them what their favourite activities were and Leo told us: “I loved it all! But my favourites were the soccer competition, volleyball, Aussie Tasting, Kayak Tour, and the Picnic.” Leo also mentioned: “I feel more social and comfortable speaking English now. The activities in class and after class made me practice English more and made a huge difference for me.”
What do you have planned next, after Lexis Manly and any last comments?
Although we are very sad to see them go, Soledad, Leo & Maxi have some awesome travel plans lined up. They will all be travelling to Germany together and study German together as a family for 2 months, then head home to Chile. We asked them if they wanted to add any last comments and Soledad said: “Lexis Manly was one of the best language school’s I have ever been to – the people are amazing, best location, and there were lots of activities going on that were so fun to join.” We will miss having them at our campus and we wish them the best of luck for their next adventure!
