Exploring Sydney: Awesome excursions for our students at Lexis Manly!
Welcome to the captivating city of Sydney, where a rich tapestry of culture, breathtaking scenery, and boundless adventures await! This week, our classes went on a journey to discover various parts of Sydney, including the beautiful Dee Why headlands, famous Pie Shops, Watson Bay, Collins Beach and the State Library. Our engaging outings provided students with the chance to explore Sydney more and also was a great opportunity to practice their English conversation and speaking skills.
Guided by our lovely teachers, our students delved into the rich history of these iconic sites, allowing our students to gain a profound and deeper understanding of Sydney. Dee Why Headlands with our Elementary class:
Our teacher Nathalia explored the beautiful Dee Why Headlands with her class today. Together they went on a coastal walk through the headlands where they enjoyed breathtaking panoramic views of the sparkling blue waters below. After their scenic walk, they enjoyed a classic Aussie meat pie to finish off. Our students had a wonderful day filled with discovery, adventure, and breathtaking natural beauty. BBQ at Watson Bay with our FCE and Pre-Intermediate class:
Our FCE class worked hard over the past 12 weeks to prepare for the big exam – after successfully completing their Cambridge exam yesterday it was time to have fun with their classmates before parting ways. Our pre-intermeidate class joined the fun and together they made their way to the iconic Watson Bay, enjoying a delicious barbecue and beach sports fun together. Have a look at their fun adventure:
️Exploring Museums & Art Galleries with our IELTS class:
Our teachers Karen took her hard working IELTS class to an educational city trip. After a scenic ferry trip past Sydney’s iconic sights they made their way through the city center. At the State Library our students had the opportunity to explore a fantastic photography exhibition and learn about the Australian culture and famous moments on a time line from 1800s to now.
Discovering secret beaches with our Intermediate and Upper Intermediate class:
With its scenic Harbour views, Collins Beach, nestled between North Head and Little Manly Cove, is an idyllic spot for an unforgettable picnic. Our students got to discover this the breathtaking view across The Heads while gathering around for a picnic. Every student prepared a snack for their classmates and exchanged their food over lots of stories and laughs. Have a look at the amazing afternoon:
