On Thursday our students went on a fun Stand-up Paddle Board lesson together!
Yesterday, our students swapped their textbooks for paddles and hit the water for an exciting Stand-Up Paddle Board lesson in beautiful Manly. The weather couldn’t have been better, with clear skies, the sun shining and calm waters making for a perfect day out! The day was filled with laughter, stunning views, and new experiences that will surely be cherished.
The Adventure:
Our group met at the calm waters of Manly Cove, where our experienced instructors gave us a quick introduction to balancing, paddling techniques, and most importantly, how to get back on the board after falling off! After some wobbly starts (and a few splashes), everyone got the hang of it and started gliding confidently across the water.
Highlights of the Day:
Laughter filled the air as students raced each other, attempted a few tricks, and even tried some yoga poses on their boards! Some were naturals, standing up straight away, while others embraced the challenge of staying upright. Regardless of skill level, everyone had a fantastic time and left with big smiles and a newfound love for the sport.
After the lesson, some of the students cooled off with a swim and soaked in the stunning views of the harbour. It was a fantastic way to enjoy Sydney’s amazing outdoor lifestyle and a great opportunity for our students to bond and practice their English in a fun, relaxed setting.
Reflections of the Day:
The afternoon was filled with lots of fun, laughter and conversations. Everyone had a great time, and it was lovely to see new friendships form and the laughter everyone shared on this special afternoon. A big thank you to our instructors for making it such an enjoyable experience! We can’t wait for our next adventure out on the water. Have a look at some more awesome photos below:
