On Thursday our students went on an unforgettable Kayak Tour together!
Paddling through paradise & making the most of our beautiful, beachside location here in Manly. Lexis Manly is located right on the beach, perfect to soak up the surf lifestyle, go for a swim or simply enjoy the picturesque views. This afternoon we organised a guided kayaking tour, where 18 of our adventurous students joined. The day was filled with laughter, stunning views, and new experiences that will surely be cherished.
The Adventure:
The journey began at the iconic Manly Wharf, where our enthusiastic guides equipped everyone with kayaks, life jackets, and plenty of encouragement. After a safety briefing, they split up in pairs and we were off! The group paddled along the scenic coastline, marveling at the natural beauty that surrounded us. It didn’t take long for our students to get the hang of kayaking and they made their way to a secret cove – Reef Beach.
Our students explored hidden coves, glided past picturesque beaches, and even spotted some incredible wildlife. The weather couldn’t have been better, with clear skies, the sun shining and calm waters making for a perfect Summer’s day out.
Highlights of the Day:
For many, it was their first time kayaking, but the supportive atmosphere and expert guidance made it a fantastic experience for all skill levels. Our students were beaming with happiness and mentioned they would all love to do this tour again! Some more highlights included:
- Stunning Views: The students enjoyed panoramic views of Manly’s breathtaking coastline.
- Wildlife Encounters: From curious seabirds to the dolphins, nature put on a show.
- Team Bonding: Paddling together and sharing stories brought everyone closer.
- Hidden Gems: The group discovered secluded spots that are only accessible by kayak.

Reflections of the Day:
The afternoon was filled with lots of fun, laughter and conversations. The activities are a great opportunity to get to know students from other classes and practice their English skills in a natural environment. Everyone had a great time, it was amazing to watch new friendships form and the laughter everyone shared on this special afternoon. Have a look at some more awesome photos below.
