Fun Christmas Activities at Lexis Sydney – Manly: Gingerbread House Competition, Christmas City Tour & Decorating Christmas Baubles!
As the holiday season approaches, we have been getting into the festive spirit here at Lexis Sydney Manly. Students enjoyed a mix of creative activities and festive outings, coming together to share laughs, make memories, and embrace the holiday spirit before our Christmas Break.
From creative challenges to iconic city experiences, everyone enjoyed getting into the holiday spirit while making memories with friends. Highlights included a fast-paced Gingerbread House Competition, a festive Christmas City Tour featuring Sydney’s famous landmarks, and a relaxed Christmas Crafts session where students decorated their own baubles – making it a joyful and creative week for all.
Gingerbread House Competition:
To kick off our Christmas activities, the Lexis Gingerbread House Competition brought everyone together for a fun and festive start to the season. This creative challenge invited studentS to showcase their imagination and teamwork while celebrating the holiday spirit in a sweet and memorable way. Teams were tasked with creating the most creative Gingerbread House in a 30 minute challenge. It was a hard choice for the winner; however, we had to pick one team, and they received some festive-inspired lollies, kangaroo keyrings, and chocolate!
Christmas City Tour:
Our Christmas City Tour was a festive and memorable way to celebrate the season together. We began the day with a scenic ferry ride to Circular Quay, enjoying stunning harbour views along the way, before visiting the iconic Christmas tree – the tallest Christmas tree in NSW. From there, we explored the Sydney Opera House and its surrounds, soaking up the holiday atmosphere, and finished the tour with a relaxed drink at Opera Bar, taking in the beautiful views of the harbour and city skyline.
Christmas Crafts:
Our Christmas Crafts session was a fun and creative way to get into the festive spirit. Students decorated their own baubles, adding personal touches with colours, patterns, and festive designs. It was a relaxed and enjoyable activity that allowed everyone to express their creativity while creating a special keepsake to take home for the holidays.
