Fun Activities at Lexis Sydney – Manly: Christmas Carols,
Surf Lesson, Tote Bag Decorating & Exploring A Secret Cave!
Recently at Lexis Sydney Manly, our activities have been all about creativity, adventure, and embracing the beach lifestyle. We love giving our students opportunities to learn beyond the classroom, and each activity helps them practice English naturally while building friendships and unforgettable experiences.
To kick off the festive season, we joined the annual Christmas Carols event – an evening filled with music, community spirit, and plenty of holiday cheer. Students also soaked up the sun during our Surf Lesson at Manly Beach , where they caught their first waves, and enjoyed the iconic Aussie beach culture. Back on campus, our Tote Bag Decorating session brought out everyone’s artistic side as they designed personalised, colourful creations to take home. And for a bit of adventure, we explored Manly’s very own Secret Cave, just a short walk from the school, giving students a taste of local hidden gems and stunning coastal scenery.
It’s been a wonderful mix of celebration, beach fun, creativity, and discovery – exactly what makes life at Lexis Sydney Manly so special!
Surf Lesson:
Our students had an unforgettable time at their recent Surf Lesson at Manly Beach, taking on the waves with confidence and enthusiasm. With support from experienced instructors, they learned the basics of paddling, and riding their first waves in a fun, energetic setting. The sunshine and beautiful water conditions, made the session even more memorable, and everyone ended the day smiling, proud, and empowered by their progress.
Christmas Carols & Pub Night Out:
Our students got into the Christmas spirit by attending a special annual Christmas Carols event that only comes around once a year. Surrounded by joyful music, and a warm community atmosphere, everyone embraced the holiday cheer as they sang along to classic carols. We continued the celebrations afterward with a fun visit to the pub, making it a memorable evening of laughter, music, and festive vibes.
Exploring the Secret Cave in Manly:
Our students enjoyed an exciting adventure exploring the Secret Cave in Manly, located just a short 10-minute walk from the school. After arriving at the hidden tunnel, everyone had fun discovering its unique rock formations and snapping photos of the stunning beach views nearby. Afterwards, we headed to a local cafe to grab some coffee and get to know eachother better. It was a simple yet memorable outing that blended exploration and great company. 
Tote Bag Decorating:
Our students had a creative and relaxing time during our Tote Bag Decorating activity, turning simple bags into personalised works of art. With paints, stencils, and plenty of inspiration, everyone enjoyed expressing their style and making something uniquely their own. The session was filled with colour, creativity, and good conversation – plus they walked away with their own handmade totebag to keep forever!
