Fun Activities at Lexis Sydney – Manly: Surf Lesson,
International Food Day, Stunning Walks, & Aussie Trivia!
Recently at Lexis Sydney Manly, our social activities have been all about enjoying the sunshine, connecting with friends, and experiencing the best of Manly. From outdoor adventures to cultural celebrations, students made the most of the beautiful weather while sharing plenty of fun together.
Students have had an action-packed couple of weeks, hitting the waves during a Surf Lesson at Manly Beach, celebrating International Food Day with delicious dishes from around the world, exploring the stunning coastline on our Secret Cave Walk, and testing their knowledge during Aussie Trivia. It’s been a fantastic mix of adventure, culture, and new friendships!
Surf Lesson:
Our Lexis students recently hit the waves for an exciting Surf Lesson right here at Manly Beach! With perfect conditions and plenty of enthusiasm, everyone embraced the true Aussie experience of learning to surf. From practising their pop-ups on the sand to catching their first waves in the ocean, students showed fantastic determination and teamwork. There were plenty of laughs, a few wipeouts, and lots of proud moments as students stood up on their boards for the first time. It was an unforgettable afternoon full of sunshine and new skills!
International Food Day:
International Food Day was a vibrant celebration of culture, community, and cuisine at Lexis! Our students proudly shared traditional dishes from their home countries, transforming the student lounge into a global food festival. From sweet treats to savoury favourites, there was something delicious from every corner of the world. It was a wonderful opportunity for everyone to learn more about each other’s cultures, try new flavours, and connect through food. The room was filled with colour, laughter, and amazing vibes – truly a highlight of the month!
Secret Cave of Manly Walk:
Recently our Lexis students set off on an adventure to discover the Secret Cave of Manly. The beach walk offered stunning ocean views and plenty of photo opportunities along the way. When we reached the hidden cave, students were amazed by this unique local gem tucked away along the shoreline. It was the perfect mix of exploration, fresh sea air, and good company. After the walk, we stopped by a local cafe to have a cold drink altogether as it was super hot Summers day! Experiences like this allow students to see a different side of Manly while building friendships and creating unforgettable memories.
Aussie Trivia:
Our Aussie Trivia afternoon brought out everyone’s competitive spirit as students put their knowledge of Australia to the test! From famous landmarks and wildlife to pop culture and slang, teams worked together to answer a variety of fun and challenging questions. There was lots of cheering, debating, and laughter as students were determined to be the winning team. It was a fantastic way to learn more about Australian culture while enjoying some friendly competition. Congratulations to our winning team who took home some awesome prizes! 🏆
