Fun Activities at Lexis Sydney – Manly: Beach Walks, Surf Lesson, Paint & Sip and Aussie Wine & Cheese Tasting!
Recently at Lexis Sydney – Manly, our social activities have been all about fun times, creativity, and connection. At Lexis, we believe that learning extends beyond the classroom and activities like these not only help students improve their English skills, but also allows them to immerse themselves in the Australian lifestyle, build friendships, and create unforgettable memories.
From relaxing Beach Walks along Sydney’s stunning coastline, to catching waves in a Surf Lesson, unleashing creativity at a Paint & Sip afternoon, and wrapping up the week with an Aussie Wine & Cheese Tasting, there was something for everyone to enjoy. These activities gave students the perfect chance to practice English in real-life settings, connect with classmates, and experience local culture – all while making unforgettable memories.
Coastal Beach Walk:
This week, we explored one of our local gems – a secret lookout point overlooking the stunning beach right next to Manly! Just a short 15-minute walk from campus, this hidden spot offers breathtaking views of the coastline and a peaceful place to relax and take in the natural beauty of Sydney’s Northern Beaches. Students enjoyed chatting, taking photos, and soaking up the sunshine while practicing their English and discovering more about the local area. It’s definitely a must-visit for anyone looking to experience the best of Manly’s coastal charm!
Surf Lesson:
Recently our students embarked on an exciting adventure that combined physical activity, nature and a whole lot of fun – a surf lesson! Our campus is located just across the road from the beautiful Manly Beach, which is where our lesson took place yesterday. They geared up in wet-suits, received valuable insights about ocean currents, and then finally got the chance to experience the thrill of surfing firsthand. They all had a blast!
Paint & Sip:
Creativity, conversation, and a splash of wine! Our Paint & Sip session was the perfect way for students to practice their English skills in a relaxed, social setting. With brushes in hand and canvases ready, everyone painted, chatted, and laughed their way through the afternoon – creating colourful masterpieces and making new friendships along the way.
Aussie Wine & Cheese Tasting:
Recently our students enjoyed an afternoon of flavour at our Aussie Wine & Cheese Tasting activity. Australia is home to a wide range of world-class wineries, and our students had the chance to sample a few of the favourites. Paired with delicious cheese, it was the perfect way to relax, and experience a true taste of Australia’s food and wine culture.
