Hi Everyone,
I’m Airi from Hokkaido. I have been in Perth for three months studying and working at Lexis Perth. I have really enjoyed my time here and have had the pleasure of meeting some great teachers and staff members who have made my time special. I also feel a lot more confident in my English skills than when I first arrived.
At the same time as learning English I have also been helping out in the “Canteen” every morning. This has been a really good experience for me. I feel really lucky to have had the chance to learn how to make coffee and can now call myself a Barista! I have also been a teacher, as I have taught my colleagues how to make Sushi! This has been great as I have had to check the language I needed in order to teach them clearly and it seems to have worked as our sushi is great.
My home life in Perth has been really good too. I stayed in a Lexis homestay while studying and they were very kind with me. My host mother loves cooking and she taught me how to make delicious meals. She is also very positive and she always smiles and was really helpful.
This is my last week before I go back to Japan. I hope that when I get home I can be a Barista, as I love it! It has been through my experience at Lexis Perth that has helped me shape my plans for my future and I’m really happy
Thanks Airi, we will miss you 🙁
