Sunshine Coast – Triumphant Fitness Class on a Glorious Winter Afternoon – 12 June

On Wednesdays, we Fitness Class!

On a beautiful Wednesday afternoon, our keen students donned their workout gear and challenged themselves in an afternoon fitness class!

Outside of the English classroom, a fitness class can be a fun way to make friends and exercise. These classes are often dynamic and engaging, incorporating social exercise, uplifting music and energetic instructors. They provide a social environment where participants can connect and motivate each other to achieve their fitness goals. The structured format of the class and the variety of exercises keep workouts interesting and challenging!

Davide took the students on a fitness journey today in Cotton Tree Park! Davide, an awesome student here at Lexis English, is a Nurse and Personal Trainer from Italy, who loves supporting people to achieve their wellbeing goals!

As a student, juggling classes, assignments, and extracurricular activities can be challenging. Finding time to stay active might seem like an added burden, but it’s essential for maintaining both physical health and mental clarity. That’s why we’re delighted to have the students participate in Student Fitness Classes – a perfect blend of high-energy workouts and relaxation techniques.

The classes are designed with students in mind, offering a mix of cardio, strength training, and flexibility exercises. Whether you’re a beginner or have an advanced fitness level, the instructor will guide you through exercises that suit your needs.

Davide took the class on a HIIT (High-Intensity Interval Training) workout featuring 20-second exercise intervals. HIIT is an efficient and effective way to boost cardiovascular fitness and build strength in a short amount of time. Davide’s lesson included 20 seconds of intense activity, including burpees, squats, lunges, mountain climbers and ab work, followed by a brief rest period of around 10 seconds. This cycle was repeated multiple times, maximizing calorie burn and improving endurance.

Exercise is proven to reduce stress and anxiety, improve mood, and boost cognitive function. The classes incorporate mindfulness practices, such as yoga and meditation, to help students stay focused and calm amidst their busy schedules.
