A Festive Few Weeks at Lexis English Sunshine Coast 🎄✨
The past couple of weeks at Lexis English Sunshine Coast have been full of festive celebration, connection, and exciting new beginnings as we wrapped up the year together.

On December 19th, the campus was buzzing with festive spirit as we hosted our Christmas BBQ. Students and staff came together to enjoy great food, sunshine, and plenty of laughs—making the most of the beautiful Sunshine Coast weather.

On the same day, we also held a festive Secret Santa gift exchange, which brought lots of surprises, smiles, and a few very creative presents! It was a wonderful way to celebrate the end of the year and strengthen friendships across classes.

After the Christmas celebrations, students enjoyed a bit of well-deserved time off, giving everyone a chance to relax, explore the coast, or simply recharge before the new year.
We then welcomed New Year’s Eve in style with a festive New Year’s Party on December 31st. It was a fun and lively way to say goodbye to 2024 and welcome in 2025 together, creating memories that will last well beyond the classroom.

That same Friday was especially busy and exciting, as students also took part in an energising fitness class, helping everyone start the new year feeling active and motivated.

To top it all off, we proudly held a graduation ceremony, celebrating the achievements and progress of our graduating students. It was a meaningful moment filled with applause, photos, and well-earned congratulations.

From our Pre-Intermediate class, we said goodbye to Rose and Yua. Rose, while only with us for a short few weeks, has been a wonderful addition to campus. Rose is always smiling, always happy, and always making others feel welcomed and valued. Rose has since moved to our Brisbane campus where we are sure she will be just as fantastic. We also said goodbye to Yua wo has been with us for just under two months. Yua, similar to Rose, has a wonderfully infectious smile and never hesitates to help a friend. Yua has since returned home to Japan, and we wish her all the best for her bright future ahead.

From our IELTS Preparation class we were sad to say goodbye to Maria and Huberto. Maria has been with us for just under a year and in that time has made no shortage of friends. When asked what Maria is like, everyone always says she is a ray of sunshine. She is incredibly friendly and always has a quick joke to make everyone laugh. We are lucky enough to have Maria staying on the Sunshine Coast for the foreseeable future, with promises to come back and visit.
We also said goodbye to Huberto who has been with us for just over two years and has worked hard the whole time he is here to improve his English and find his footing in Australia. Huberto, similar to Maria, is incredibly friendly and has shown kindness to every person he has met. We are very sad to see Huberto go, but we look forward to welcoming him back for one of our Lexis Training courses in the coming weeks.
This week, we’re excited to start the next chapter by welcoming new students who arrived on Monday. Our newest Lexis Sunshine Coast community members come from Switzerland, New Caledonia, Korea, and Brazil, adding even more energy to our campus. We’re thrilled to have them join us and can’t wait to see their English journeys unfold.

As always, Lexis English Sunshine Coast continues to be a place of learning, celebration, and global connection—and we’re looking forward to everything the coming weeks have in store!
