At Lexis English Sunshine Coast, we always believe that learning English should go beyond the classroom. It’s about connecting, having fun, and creating lasting memories. And that’s exactly what a group of our international students did last Friday, 29th November, at the Duporth Tavern, one of the best spots in town for locals and visitors alike to unwind.
The evening was a perfect blend of good weather, great company, and, of course, some refreshing local beers. The relaxed atmosphere of Duporth Tavern made it an ideal setting for our students to let loose, mingle, and enjoy each other’s company.
As the sun set over the beautiful Sunshine Coast, students from all over the world gathered to celebrate their newfound friendships, each of them bringing something unique to the table. Whether it was sharing funny stories about their home countries or learning more about each other’s cultures, the evening was filled with laughter and excitement. There were plenty of cheers, jokes, and the clinking of beer glasses, all of which created the perfect backdrop for these amazing connections to blossom.
It wasn’t just about the beer – though it was definitely part of the experience! The highlight of the evening was seeing students from diverse backgrounds bond over shared experiences and common interests. The social vibes were contagious, and many new friendships were formed in a relaxed and comfortable environment. Some students had just arrived in Australia, while others had been here for a little longer, but everyone felt right at home.
