On September 1 Lexis Sydney students experienced a traditional Australian Sausage Sizzle.
Part of the fun of learning a foreign language is learning the customs and sayings of other cultures. So, last week Lexis Sydney staff introduced students to the snag fest (aka a Sausage Sizzle)!
It was the first day of Spring, the weather was beautiful, and the students were happy to help with the cooking – which is just as well, because there were lots of hungry mouths to feed!
The Lexis Sydney student lounge balcony has a great view of the beach. It’s a top spot for lunch and a nice place to hang out with friends.
Notice a bit of mustard and ketchup being served – very traditional condiments at a Sausage Sizzle!
Our Academic Manager Pricila and teacher Mick got involved in the activities too.
We’ll be doing more sausage sizzles soon and next time we’ll get some dancing photos. There’s a great sound system in the Student Lounge.
