Today, we’re excited to share Eunji’s journey with you! Over the past three months, Eunji has studied English at three of our campuses, Lexis Brisbane, Lexis Sydney, and Lexis Perth. Along the way, she’s made incredible progress, built lifelong friendships, joined fun activities and excursions, and achieved so much during her time here. Eunji also experienced life as a homestay student, living with warm and welcoming Australian families – an experience that added even more depth to her Australian adventure.
Eunji’s journey is a testament to the incredible friendships, unforgettable adventures, and life-changing moments that await for you at Lexis!
Why did you choose Lexis and what campuses did you study at during your time in Australia?
Eunji is 26 years old from South Korea and studied our General English course for 3 months at our wonderful Lexis campuses located in Brisbane, Sydney and Perth. Eunji shared more with us on why she initially wanted to study at Lexis: “I originally wanted to travel to Australia, and someone recommended that I try studying at a language school. While searching on YouTube and Instagram, I found Lexis and saw the many activity options to meet new people, have fun while still learning English. Another great thing was that they had multiple campuses around Australia, making it easy to transfer between the locations. I studied for 3 months in total, 4 weeks in Brisbane, 4 weeks in Sydney and 4 weeks in Perth.”
What have been your favourite memories at Lexis Brisbane?
Eunji first started her English studies at our Brisbane campus in Queensland and shared with us more on what it so special: “The Brisbane campus was big, and there were many students, making it a great place to make friends. I remember always travelling with my friends after school which was so fun! There were many beautiful natural landscapes nearby, so we often went on short trips or even full-day trips, which I really enjoyed. The classrooms were clean and well-organised, and the teachers were very professional. I was lucky to have such a great experience there with amazing friends.”
What have been your favourite memories at Lexis Sydney?
Next, Eunji spent 4 wonderful weeks studying at our Sydney campus, perfectly situated on the stunning Manly Beach. She shared some of her favourite memories from her time in Sydney: “The best thing about the Sydney campus is that it’s right in front of the ocean. I enjoyed the various activities Lexis Sydney offered. The pub crawl and surfing class were the most memorable. If you’re studying at the Manly campus, you must try them! Sydney is a big city, but I also wanted to experience the more relaxed atmosphere and beach vibe of Manly, so I thought it was a great choice. Looking back, Manly was the perfect decision – an ocean-view campus, great city access, and, of course, you can’t come to Australia without spending time in Sydney!”
What have been your favourite memories at Lexis Perth?
For Eunji’s last 4 weeks, she travelled to Western Australia to study at our campus in the beautiful city of Perth. Eunji shared with us more on her time there and some of her favourite memories: “Perth feels like a mix of the best parts of both Brisbane and Sydney. It has beautiful beaches like Sydney and a relaxed, warm vibe like Brisbane. It’s not super touristy, so it’s very peaceful and calm. A great place to focus on your studies and enjoy life at the same time. The teachers at Lexis Perth are really professional, and the lessons are well-structured, If you’re looking for a quiet and beautiful city to study in, and want to meet amazing people from around the world, I’d totally recommend Perth! I recently went to Rottnest Island and that was so incredible! I had the opportunity to see the famous Quokka, which was so cute!”
What would you say to students thinking about studying here?
Eunji shared with us more about her experience and why you should consider studying English at Lexis: “If you’re thinking about studying here, I’d say go for it – you won’t regret it! Not only will you improve your English skills in a supportive and friendly environment, but you’ll also get to experience life by the beach, meet people from all over the world, and create unforgettable memories. At first, I was surprised to see everyone going straight to volleyball, swimming, or surfing after class – but now, I find myself doing the same!”
“One of the best memories I have from all campuses is being able to meet new friends from so many different countries. For example, Japan, Brazil, Switzerland, Colombia, France, and many more. Studying together with students from all over the world allowed me to learn not only English, but also about different cultures, lifestyles, and ways of thinking in a really natural and fun way. Not just in class, but also during breaks and activities, we got to share our cultures, help each other with languages, and really became close friends. It wasn’t just about learning English, it was also about connecting with people from all over the world.”

How was your homestay experience and what made it enjoyable?
Eunji was also a homestay student during her time at each of our campuses, living with wonderful Australian families. We asked Eunji more about her homestay experience: “During my time at each campus, I had the opportunity to live with lovely homestay families. It was a valuable experience in many ways, especially in improving my English and gaining a deeper understanding of Australian culture. Living with local families helped me get used to everyday conversations in English and gave me a closer look at how Australians live. One of the things I appreciated was the food. My host’s prepared meals everyday, and I had the chance to try dishes from different countries. It was a great opportunity to enjoy new flavours and experience cultural diversity through food.”

What do you have planned after your time at Lexis?
Eunji will finish up her Australian adventure this week, so we wanted to know what she has planned after Lexis: “Unfortunately, my time in Australia has come to an end. I have met so many amazing people and have had the best time at each Lexis campus. Thank you to everyone! This Friday I will finish my studies in Perth and I’ll return to South Korea and continue working as a nurse.”
Thank you to Eunji for sharing your amazing experience at Lexis!
