Many stories have come out regarding the floods here in Brisbane. With the city and school now back to normal, it’s great to hear some of the students comments about their experiences.
Following is a short writing by Jaime about his experience.
“When Brisbane was flooded, I had one of the most important experiences in my life because I was able to help other people when they tried to save their things and their own lives.
In that situation, I saw people helping other people with food, drinks or offering their own cars to move things…It was amazing, because normally in this society people don’t know their own neighbours and in this situation people shared their things with “strangers” for a good purpose: to help each other…”
It’s wonderful to hear of some of the good experiences that have come out of this time of hardship in Brisbane.
