Stand Up Paddle Adventures on the Noosa River
Last Wednesday, our adventurous group of students traded their textbooks for paddles, embracing the natural beauty of the Noosa River. We headed over to Boardwalk Boat Hire, where an afternoon of fun and relaxation awaited us. The sky was a brilliant blue, and the water sparkled beneath the sun, setting the perfect backdrop for an afternoon stand-up paddleboarding adventure.
For many, it was their first time trying stand-up paddleboarding, but the friendly team at Boardwalk Boat Hire made sure everyone felt confident and ready. After a quick demo and some safety tips, we were off! Balancing on the boards came easier to some than others—cue plenty of splashes and laughter as a few students took an unexpected dip in the river. No worries though, it was all part of the fun!
As we paddled along, the stunning scenery of the Noosa River unfolded before us. From the lush greenery of the riverbanks to the occasional fish darting beneath our boards, the peacefulness of the surroundings was only interrupted by our cheerful chatter.
We took breaks to soak in the views, sharing stories, and capturing plenty of photos to remember the day. By the end of the afternoon, everyone had mastered the basics, and some were even racing each other in true competitive spirit.
Our afternoon on the river was a chance to bond as a group, practice some English in real-life settings, and, most importantly, enjoy the simple pleasures of nature.
