Last week was an Action Packed Week of Fun Activities at Lexis Noosa!
For our students, it’s important to unwind during a week of English learning and our activity programme is the best way to do so. Every week, we do activities together on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday to showcase the best of what life in Noosa is like. Our activities range from arts and crafts to watersports and from karaoke to yoga, with a whole load of Aussie culture thrown in there too. Here’s a glimpse of what activities we got up to last week:
Wednesday’s Activity – National Park Walk
On Wednesday, the sun was shining gloriously and we took the chance to walk through Noosa’s famous National Park. This activity is always popular and is a great chance for our students to get their steps in, enjoy the panoramic views and even see some Aussie wildlife. It’s a wonderful opportunity to make new friends, practice their English conversation skills and enjoy the scenic national park.
Thursday’s Activity – Friendship Bracelet Making
On Thursday we stayed at our Noosa campus and gathered in the courtyard to make friendship bracelets. It’s great to get stuck into some arts and crafts and is a great activity to unwind and relax with. We chatted away the afternoon as everyone made bracelets to keep as a memory of their time and the people at Lexis.
Friday’s Activity – Drinks at The Culinary Academy
Many of our students like to enrol in our Bar & Cocktail course that runs monthly. For two weeks, students can swap the classroom for the bar and learn the ins and outs of bartending. In week 1, they learn all about service and standards and serving delicious beers, wines and spirits. In their second week, they master cocktails to wow guests and perfect their skills to help their employment prospects either in Noosa or elsewhere. After school on Friday, we met at The Culinary Academy to reflect on the week and welcome the weekend with a few drinks together.
