Today, our students at Lexis English Noosa stepped into the aromatic world of coffee-making with an exciting Barista Workshop held at our Culinary Academy. The event was nothing short of a blast, blending hands-on learning with plenty of fun and camaraderie!
Learning the Basics of Australia’s Favorite Brews
The workshop introduced students to the art of preparing some of the most beloved coffee styles in Australia. From frothy cappuccinos to silky smooth flat whites, they learned essential barista skills that gave them a taste of what it’s like to craft the perfect cup.
But this wasn’t just about following instructions—it was about creativity and critical thinking. Each student became their own judge, tasting and evaluating their creations. The laughter, curiosity, and competitive spirit filled the room as they explored the techniques of steaming milk, pulling espresso shots, and mastering latte art.

The Culinary Academy provided the perfect setting for students to connect and immerse themselves in the coffee culture. Between brewing and sipping, they shared stories, practiced conversational English, and, of course, indulged in their delicious creations.
