Last week was an Action Packed Week of Fun Activities at Lexis Noosa!
For our students, it’s important to unwind during a week of English learning and our activity programme is the best way to do so. Every week, we do activities together on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday to showcase the best of what life in Noosa is like. Our activities range from arts and crafts to watersports and from karaoke to yoga, with a whole load of Aussie culture thrown in there too. Here’s a glimpse of what activities we got up to last week:
Thursday’s Activity – Stand Up Paddleboarding!
The Noosa river, lined with stunning houses nestled in dense greenery, is the perfect spot to spend an afternoon soaking up some sun and having a go at one of Australia’s favourite hobbies – Stand Up Paddleboarding. After class on Wednesday we made the short trip to see our friends at Boardwalk Boat Hire. From here, we grabbed our boards and spent 2 hours having a peaceful paddle up the length of the river. Although tricky at first, we quickly got the hang of it and before we could say SUP we were speeding off into the sun.
It was an experience to remember, taking in the views and nature and is one we will definitely be doing again soon!
Friday’s Activity – Sausage Sizzle!
To celebrate another great term of learning English, we wandered over to Pinaroo park for a good old sausage sizzle. We ate and played games, and did our weekly graduation ceremony in the sun. It doesn’t get more Aussie than a bit of cricket in the sun with a few sausages grilling on the side!
