Last week was an Action Packed Week of Fun Activities at Lexis Noosa!
For our students, it’s important to unwind during a week of English learning and our activity programme is the best way to do so. Every week, we do activities together on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday to showcase the best of what life in Noosa is like. Our activities range from arts and crafts to watersports and from karaoke to yoga, with a whole load of Aussie culture thrown in there too. Here’s a glimpse of what activities we got up to last week:
Wednesday’s Activity – Football!
Football is a shared passion amongst our students that brings everyone together beyond the classroom. Last week, our students from all different countries and different levels gathered at Girraween Sports Complex, forming mixed teams and bonding over their love for the sport. It was a chance to relax, laugh, and build friendships while practicing English in a fun and natural way. The energy is always high, and despite varying skill levels, the spirit of teamwork and inclusion shines through. Football has quickly become a highlight of student life here at Lexis Noosa, creating a strong sense of community among people from all corners of the world.
Thursday’s Activity – Beach Games!
After classes on Thursday, we made the short trip to Noosa Main Beach for a friendly game of rounders and some beach games! With the sun shining and the ocean just steps away, students from all over the world come together to play, laugh, and enjoy the laid-back Aussie beach lifestyle. For many, it was their first time playing rounders, but that only adds to the fun — there’s plenty of cheering, laughing, and light-hearted competition. It’s not just about the game; it’s about connecting with new friends, practicing English in a relaxed setting, and making unforgettable memories in one of Australia’s most beautiful locations.
Friday’s Activity – Aussie Beer Tasting!
To round off the week and bring in the weekend with style, we hosted our very own Aussie beer tasting! Noosa and the Sunshine Coast is the hotspot in Australia for craft beer and microbreweries, and our students got to enjoy sampling different styles—from crisp lagers to hoppy pale ales and smooth craft brews. For many, it’s not just about the taste, but the conversations and laughs that come with it. Trying Aussie beers gives students a chance to unwind after class, connect with classmates from around the world, and get a real feel for the local lifestyle. It’s a laid-back, social experience that adds flavour to their time in Australia—literally and culturally.
