This Week’s Activities at Lexis Noosa
For our students, unwinding during a week of English learning is just as important as time in the classroom, and our activity programme makes that easy. Across the week, we take time to get out, try new things, and enjoy life in Noosa together — whether that’s something active, creative, or simply social.
This week at Lexis Noosa was packed with unforgettable experiences, bringing together Australian culture, outdoor adventure, and relaxed social time for our students. From Aussie beer tasting to learning how to surf, it was a great mix of fun, connection, and local experiences.
Aussie Beer Tasting!
Students took part in an Aussie beer tasting session, where they sampled a range of popular local beers and learned more about the different flavours and styles. During the activity, students had the chance to taste well-known Australian favourites, including Victoria Bitter, XXXX, Great Northern, and Heads of Noosa.
The tasting allowed students to compare different brewing styles, from classic full-strength lagers to lighter and more refreshing craft options. Throughout the session, students discussed the flavours, aromas, and textures of each beer while sharing their personal favourites with the group. It was a relaxed and social afternoon filled with plenty of conversation, laughter, and good company.
Surf Lesson!
This week, our students headed down to Noosa Main Beach for a surf lesson and an unforgettable afternoon in the ocean. The session began on the beach, where instructors went through the basics, including paddling, balance, and how to stand up on the board. Once everyone was ready, it was time to head into the water and give it a go.
With gentle waves and plenty of encouragement from the instructors, students spent the afternoon practising their skills, catching small waves, and building confidence on their boards. There was a great atmosphere, with lots of cheering every time someone managed to stand up.
For many students, it was their first surfing experience, making it both exciting and challenging in the best way. By the end of the session, there were plenty of smiles, laughter, and a memorable day by the ocean.
