Last week was an Action Packed Week of Fun Activities at Lexis Noosa!
For our students, it’s important to unwind during a week of English learning and our activity programme is the best way to do so. Every week, we do activities together on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday to showcase the best of what life in Noosa is like. Our activities range from arts and crafts to watersports and from karaoke to yoga, with a whole load of Aussie culture thrown in there too. Here’s a glimpse of what activities we got up to last week:
Wednesday’s Activity – Noosa National Park Walk!
Walking through Noosa National Park is a journey into one of Queensland’s most breathtaking coastal landscapes. Just a short stroll from the vibrant Hastings Street, the park offers a tranquil escape into nature.
The Coastal Walk, stretching 5km from Main Beach to Hell’s Gates, is the park’s highlight. This trail meanders through lush bushland and along rugged cliffs, revealing secluded beaches and panoramic ocean views. Along the way, you might spot dolphins swimming offshore or, during winter months, migrating humpback whales breaching the surface. Keep an eye on the treetops too—koalas can be spotted in the eucalyptus branches above.
Thursday’s Activity – Pub Crawl!
Last Thursday night was one for the books as our students took part in a classic Aussie rite of passage — a lively pub crawl through the heart of Noosa! With good vibes and great company, we visited a handful of local favourites, each with its own atmosphere and character.
The group had the chance to experience the fun and friendly nightlife Noosa is known for. It was the perfect way to unwind after a week of studying English — We started with a few games at school before heading to the local backpackers hostel KB’s, who are always great hosts for Lexis students. After that, we made the short walk over to Halse Lodge, just a stone’s throw from the beach. Our student’s love the table tennis tournament they host every Thursday and we had a few games of snooker too.
