Last week was an Action Packed Week of Fun Activities at Lexis Noosa!
For our students, it’s important to unwind during a week of English learning and our activity programme is the best way to do so. Every week, we do activities together on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday to showcase the best of what life in Noosa is like. Our activities range from arts and crafts to watersports and from karaoke to yoga, with a whole load of Aussie culture thrown in there too. Here’s a glimpse of what activities we got up to last week:
Wednesday’s Activity – Football at Lions Park!
Lexis Noosa has a diverse range of nationalities and for many students, football (or soccer) is a huge part of their culture. So on Wednesday, we made the short trip over to Lions Park to set up an impromptu game of football. Some of the skills on show were immense and it was great to get the heart pumping and the legs moving in the midweek sun. Despite many nationalities making up each team, we all share our learning of English and our love of football.
Thursday’s Activity – Aussie Beer Tasting!
The Sunshine Coast is one of Australia’s prime spots for craft beer and there are a huge number of breweries in Noosa and the surrounding areas! On Thursday, we gathered in the communal area to sample some of Australia’s most popular beers as well as a selection of beers from Noosa!
Friday’s Activity – Stand Up Paddleboarding with Boardwalk Boat Hire!
We love a sunny Friday afternoon paddleboarding on the beautiful Noosa river, surrounded by boats and jetskis and admiring the stunning houses on the river. The view as you paddle your way towards Noosaville is truly breathtaking with the glistening water, the luscious greenery and the mountains on the horizon. It’s a peaceful activity that is always popular and is the perfect way to unwind after a busy week of English lessons. Paddleboarding is one of Australia’s favourite pastimes and with the number of canals and inlets throughout Noosa, you don’t have to wait long before a paddleboarder passes you by!
