Friday we celebrated our 10 amazing graduates and course finishers at Lexis Manly.
The hard work and dedication of the past months has paid off for today’s graduates and course finishers. We are sad to see you leave but also incredible proud of the progress everyone made! Most of today’s graduates have been with us for over 6 month, we got to know everyone well and spend a lot of time with our students in their breaks, workshops or activities – hopefully we will see you again in the future!
Martina, our Aussie slang Queen, she has become a true Aussie with her knowledge on slang words. Most days her class found new Aussie slang vocabulary on the board that Martina has put up for everyone to learn. We admire your enthusiasm and kind personality. Martina will be chasing the sun and move up to Queensland for the next 6 month. We wish you a great time!
Mehmet is most looking forward to a week without alarms or studying, his priority for next week: resting. You deserve a good rest after the hard work you put in over the last 6 month. When he joined Lexis Manly he could barely speak or understand any English. Now he is graduating from an Intermediate class and speaks English fluently. Mehmet told us the combination of great teachers and making international friends has made it easy for him to learn a new language. Well done Mehmet!
Our lovely Natta started off in an elementary class 24 weeks ago and is graduating successfully from an intermediate class today. What a progress! Her English has improved so much that she decided to enroll in a university in Sydney and study business for the next 5 years. Natta and her teacher said goodbye in tears, Natta was a great student who had a place in everyone’s heart. All the best for your studies!
Thalitas calm energy and cheeky humor has enriched every class and made her a popular student quickly. Many new friends said their goodbyes today, we know it was tough for her to leave today but we loved seeing how well you settled in and spread joy and happiness around our campus. Our lovely Thalita has found an amazing job in her field in Byron Bay. She will move next month and face new challenges that we are convinced she will handle wonderfully! Well done on finding a great job and jumping into a full time work position again!
Hinata has started off a bit intimidated by the experience, when she first started her studies she was very shy and didn’t talk much. It didn’t take long and Hinata made her first friends, ever since she was a ray of sunshine on our campus. Walking in with a big smile every morning, chatting to students, teachers and our staff and putting in a lot of work to improve her English. She will stay in Sydney for another 10 month and will surely make many great memories. It was great to support your on your goal to become an English teacher in Japan. Who knows, maybe Hinata will teach our Lexis students one day. Enjoy your gap year and all the best for your studies at home!
