King Street Food Fiesta – Bowen Hills
On Friday, November 3rd, the famous King Street precinct will once again host Valley Fiesta, with live music, pop-up bars, and sample plates inspired by street food starting from just $8. From 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., King Street comes alive with a series of pop-up bars, street food vendors, outdoor music stages, and roaming entertainment. Come together, eat, dance, and soak up the positive energy. In addition to the delicious food, a lineup of Brisbane’s top up-and-coming musicians will be performing live on outdoor stages, bringing the street to life. Archie Brothers’ Cirque Electriq, the newest addition to King Street and a growing fan favorite, will include a few items from their extravagant American diner-style menu. Feast on their Pepperoni, Hawaiian or Margarita pizzas for $20 and enjoy Spiced Mojitos, or sample their other awesome cocktails on offer.
Outdoor Cinema in the Suburbs
Brisbane City Council’s popular Outdoor Cinema in the Suburbs program returns for its fifth year, so get the picnic blanket and gather friends and family for a fabulous free night out under the stars. With free movie screenings happening at various local parks across Brisbane, there’s no need for residents to travel far and wide to attend. This season, Council is bringing the big screen to Victoria Park plus new locations this year like Jubilee Park in Bardon.
Armakeggon Craft Beer Fest
Armakeggon is back and this year, it’s got exclusive GABS beers that you’ll never taste again all hanks to New Zealand needing to cancel its event. They’ll be games, raffles and giveaways throughout the day, with DJs on the decks and more happening upstairs. Its free entry from 11:30am but you can get yourself a VIP ticket for early access, a bacon and egg breaky roll and tasting paddle. Armakeggon is on Saturday the 6th of November at Archive Beer Boutique.
Blue Room Cinebar
Blue Room Cinebar in Rosalie is a cinema that shows all of the latest hits while also dishing out next-level cocktails, food and dessert. All delivered to your seat! There are handmade pizzas, southern chicken bites, cheese fries, calamari, cheese platters, seafood platters and sweet treats like chocolate brownies and ice-cream. This tiny boutique cinema features comfy plush armchairs along with the option of all this amazing food, all for the standard ticket price of $16.50. This is a movie night with a difference!
A Swim in the Enoggera Dam
Enoggera Dam, in the middle of The Gap’s D’Aguilar National Park, is surrounded by a lush green forest, only 25 minutes west of Brisbane. This reservoir is heritage-listed, its construction dating way back to the 19th century and remains one of Walkabout Creek’s leading attractions for a very good reason. With the influx of people on summer weekends and the beautiful Queensland sun, this spot is transformed into a swimming paradise.
The Made Local Market
The Made Local Market will be held at the Brisbane Showgrounds for a special Christmas event! It’s Brisbane’s largest indoor maker and designer market and will feature over 120 local creativities all under one roof on the 4th and 5th of November. Who doesn’t love the energy of a street party? In 2023, Valley Fiesta will celebrate its 26th anniversary, of all things music, culture and community. The festival will kick off on Saturday the 4th of November.
