St Mary’s Aged Care Coolum Beach is looking for an experienced Relief Chef/Cook to join our catering team in our new purpose built kitchen.
St Mary’s prides itself on providing a wide variety of freshly cooked meals and snacks.
Applicants need to be hard working and have a willingness to provide quality food services to our Residents.
Experience and references at working in a commercial kitchen essential.
Cooking every Friday, Saturday and Sunday plus relief work. Minimum 6 shifts per fortnight.
Delivery Driver & General Warehouse Operations
We are looking for a delivery driver/ warehouse operations member to join our growing team.
Previous experience in a restaurant/ cafe kitchen and/or food-service delivery driving is a must.
We are looking for a very physically fit person that is willing to consistently show high levels of customer service.
Suited to a person with experience in the food/ warehouse industry and lives locally around the Noosa area due to early start times.
Day-to-day roles include (and not limited to); order picking, delivery driving, receiving incoming stock from our suppliers, basic paperwork, ongoing truck and shed cleaning maintenance. Drivers will also be expected to help out putting stock away from our suppliers, which consist of a mixture of fresh, frozen & dry goods.
Markris Foods is open 7 days a week; therefore, we require staff members to be able to work a mixture of weekday and weekend shifts. Delivery drivers start early in the morning, to get the deliveries out before breakfast service.

About the role
We are looking for a baker to join the team. Your role will have involve the production of our savoury lines and also bread production.
You must be self motivated and able to work without supervision and also capable of working as part of a team. You need to be positive, reliable and able to communicate and work efficiently and effectively. 3rd year Apprentices are encouraged to also apply.
Your required capabilities include:
- Preparing a wide variety of breads and baked goods such as pasties and pies following traditional and modern recipes
- Experience in pastry preparation a bonus.
- Ensure the quality of products by checking the quality of raw materials and weighing ingredients before cooking
- Kneading, maturing, cutting, moulding, mixing and shaping bread products
- Operating commercial bakery machines, sheeters and ovens
- Ensuring the cleanliness of equipment and operation of premises before production runs to ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations
This is a full-time role, comprising of evening and early morning shifts depending on roster.

- Assisting exec and sous chef with estimating food and labour costs, and daily food orders
- Assists with conducting daily briefings and meetings in restaurant and functions to ensure effective channels of communications are maintained, thus minimise errors. This includes strong communication with managers, kitchen and wait staff with special care in communicating dietary requirements and food allergy information
- Handle all food and beverage items and maintain all food storage, preparation and service areas in accordance with Australian Food Safety and Hygiene Standards
- Demonstrating correct cooking and kitchen techniques for preparing and storing foods including sous vide, grilling, deep frying, cryovacing, freezing and preserving foods
- Assist in the departmental induction and training of kitchen staff as requested. May act as mentor to apprentice chefs
