Deli Assistant

We are now seeking a reliable and eager to work part-time Deli Assistant to join our Deli team based at Windsor. This role includes, but is not limited to, preparation work, stock control/ rotation and providing exceptional customer service.
The successful applicant must have:
a customer service focus
be professionally presented
be consistently punctual and reliable
work fast and efficiently
have an understanding of food handling and hygiene principles
be physically capable of performing some manual handling tasks
available every second weekend
have an eye for detail and a sense of urgency
Previous experience in a Deli is essential.

- Open and set up venue for service
- Meeting and greeting all customers
- Delivering daily specials to customers
- Food & Beverage service
- All Barista duties as required (3-4 kilos per day when busy)
- Liaising with kitchen staff
- Stock control
- Cash handling
- Food handling
- Cooking roasts & various meals, sandwich making + general food preparation
- Food hygiene
- OH&S, cleaning dishes, filling stock
- Pack down café and reset for next day service.

To be considered for the role you will have a positive can-do attitude and be able to demonstrate the following is essential;
- Experience using commercial coffee machines, grinders with an understanding of dose, extraction times and adjusting/dialling in a grinder

- Available to work between Monday to Saturday
- High levels of energy, enthusiasm and the ability to work well in a team
- High level of Latte art skills
