We’re asking some past staff and students to tell us a bit about what’s happening now in their life after Lexis. This week we interview the fun and friendly ex-student, Dana!
Where are you now?
Now I’m living in Brisbane.
How long did you study at Lexis?
I think I studied more than a year
When did you leave, and where did you go?
I moved to Brisbane last September when was the second time closed border from NSW to QLD. Because when I graduated in Lexis, I start to study commercial cookery in Brisbane, but border kept opening and closing, so I thought my school plan would be disrupted . (That time I paid $2800 for quarantine fee)
What was a highlight of studying at Lexis English?
Of course, the most memorable moment was when I graduated! The beginning and the end of Lexis were with Kristy. I still remember what Kristy told me when I went to my last class before graduation ‘You’re the longest student I’ve ever seen in Lexis’. Miss u Kristy!
Your favourite thing about studying English is…?
I don’t know what is my favourite thing, but for me important thing is speaking! Self-confidence! Keep speaking!
What do you miss about Byron Bay?
I missed the beach so much!! And also lots of busking!
Tell us about what life’s like now:
I’m still studying cookery, and I’m working hard in the kitchen because it’s a work placement session. I met good people and I’m working in a pleasant environment, so I’m having fun even if it’s hard! Thank you for the interview, Kristy!
