On Friday 28th October, we held our monthly Sausage Sizzle. Students got to experience the traditional Australian lunchtime prepared by our teacher and former chef Paul.
Part of the fun of learning a foreign language is learning new customs and sayings. “Sausage Sizzle” was a fun, new term and experience for many of our students.
There were vegan sausages for our several vegan staff and students.
Students had the choice of white or multigrain bread and an assortment of bread rolls provided by our very generous student Junior. They also had the choice of Tomato, Mustard or BBQ sauce.
A true sausage sizzle is not complete without grilled onions. The smoke in the air and the aroma of onions and sausages were delightful.
The students loved our great Australian tradition of a sausage sizzle and eagerly look forward to the next one!
