Today we are thrilled to welcome 7 new students from Kyrgyzstan, Argentina, Japan, Spain and Switzerland.
Miraida joins us from Kyrgyzstan. Miraida works in a hotel and improving her English will improve her career prospects back home. She chose to study English in Byron Bay because of the nice weather and proximity to the ocean, and she is enjoying Byron so far.
Gabriel joins us from Argentina. Gabriel has been living in Byron for a couple of months and has fallen in love with the town and lifestyle. He has a job, surfs, goes to the gym and has made new friends. He wants to become fluent in English to improve his career prospects.
Hitoshi joins us from Japan. Hitoshi, Erika and Rika are travelling and studying at Lexis together. Hitoshi has been surfing for 40-years and is excited to try the many famous surf spots around Byron. He would like to endlessly travel the world, surf and do yoga.
Erika is a yoga instructor and surfing enthusiast so studying in Byron Bay was a no-brainer. Erika wants to improve her English so that she can communicate with people from around the world and teach yoga in English.
Rika is also a yoga instructor and surfing enthusiast. Her hometown is by the beach, but the surf isn’t great, unlike in surfer’s paradise Byron Bay. Rika will study hard to improve her English as her dream is to teach Yoga in English one day.
Lourdes joins us from beautiful Toledo, Spain. Lourdes works as a Human Resource Consultant and needs to improve her English to be employable internationally. She wants to be in control of her future, and have whatever she wants, so English fluency is imperative. She is also excited to explore Australia.
Andy joins us from the German part of Switzerland. Andy was in Sydney before joining us in Byron and will spend another week in Sydney after completing his studies before heading home. While in Byron, Andy wants to try surfing and meet new friends. He also wants to improve his grammar and tenses at Lexis.
