Byron Bay – A warm welcome to our new students – 6 February 2023

Today we are thrilled to welcome 14 new students from the French and German parts of Switzerland, Spain and Japan!

Marius joins us from the French part of Switzerland. Marius was in Tasmania visiting his uncle before coming to Byron Bay. He chose to study in Byron Bay because he wanted to live in a small town by the beach. After Lexis, Marius will travel to Sydney, Whitsunday Islands, Melbourne and Brisbane.

 

Melissa also joins us from the French part of Switzerland. Melissa chose Australia because it is far away from home and a completely different climate. Her passion is film and video production, and improving her English will help her artistic endeavours.

 

Leonie joins us from the German part of Switzerland. Leonie is taking a gap year and wants to improve her English. Her first impressions are that Australians are very kind and Byron Bay is beautiful with has amazing surf spots.

 

Giulia also joins us from the German part of Switzerland. Giulia is studying English as she wants to be an English teacher in the future. She has wanted to visit Australia since childhood, she is very happy to be here and looks forward to travelling around Australia after completing her course.

 

Anna joins us from Spain. Anna has a social education degree and has worked with Alzheimer patients but recently had a career change to real estate sales. She has come to Australia to improve her English and would like to continue travelling around the world in the future.

 

Karen joins us from Japan. During high school Karen had a short-term exchange to Australia and ever since she wanted to return to Australia. Karen would like to improve her English so that she can communicate and make friends from around the world.

 

Neo also joins us from Japan. In Japan, Neo loves working as a dental hygienist but she is taking a break to enjoy the slow life in Byron Bay for three months. Neo likes Australia and wants to visit often and travel the country in the future.

 

Mai also joins us from Japan. Mai’s primary goal is to improve her English-speaking abilities and confidence. She would love to be able to communicate with people from around the world and make international friends.

 

Miho also joins us from Japan. Miho would like to improve her vocabulary and pronunciation so that she can have meaningful conversations in English. In the future, Miho is going to study business and environmental subjects.

 

Miyo also joins us from Japan. Miyo is originally from Korea but lives and works in Japan as a café manager. Miyo works with employees from around the world and she would like to improve her English so that she can have deeper conversations with them.

 

Keita also joins us from Japan. Since starting to learn English, Keita has wanted to study in a native-speaking country. Keita was encouraged to study in Australia by his friends who loved their experiences abroad in Australia.

 

Hikari also joins us from Japan. Hikari chose to study English in Byron Bay because she loves the summer and the ocean. She would like to reach English fluency so that she can work in Australia in the future.

 

Takuya also joins us from Japan. Takuya requires a good level of English to work in sports business in America, European countries or Australia, which is his career goal. He chose to learn in Byron Bay because he likes to surf and ocean swim.

 

Sayuri also joins us from Japan. Sayuri has a daughter that is going to school in Byron Bay. She would like to improve her English and help her daughter improve too. Sayuri likes to surf the many great beaches in Byron Bay.
