Yesterday afternoon students escaped the busy streets of Byron Bay to enjoy some peace, quiet and stunning nature at Killen Falls and Lennox Head.
We had an overwhelming amount of student interest in this trip, enough for two trips at maximum capacity. So, we are going again on Thursday (tomorrow) for those that missed out on coming this time.
Lennox Head is a 20-minute drive south from Byron Bay and Killen Falls is a further 15 minutes inland from Lennox Head. Rueben from the Byron Bay Travel Company guided the afternoon tour.
To access Killen Falls, it is a tranquil hike through bushland to the main fall. You can swim beneath the main fall and there is a great viewing platform overlooking the fall.
At Lennox Head, students had a BBQ lunch next to Lake Ainsworth, a freshwater tea tree lake. It is a great place to swim, paddle board or simply relax and benefit from the lake’s healing tea tree properties.
Everyone had a wonderful afternoon hanging out together all while enjoying and marvelling at the natural beauty of Killen Falls and Lennox Head.
