On Saturday 22nd October, students embarked on a full day trip to the Gold Coast visiting the famous Australian theme parks Dreamworld and WhiteWater World as well as the lively Surfers Paradise night markets.

Dreamworld boasts the title of Australia’s biggest theme park.
It has a good balance of rides and animal attractions.
Thrill rides include the Steel Taipan rollercoaster, Giant Drop free-fall ride and The Claw to name just a few.
Many of our students agreed that the rides are more intense in Australia than back home.
You can also get up close and personal with many animals around the theme park including koalas, wombats, crocodiles and kangaroos.
Next up, WhiteWater World!
WhiteWater World is located right next to Dreamworld.
There were a range of thrill rides including the popular Fully 6 which is essentially a water rollercoaster with twists, turns and drops.
Some rides were individual, while others you could enjoy as a small group.
Finally, to the Surfers Paradise night markets.
The Surfers Paradise night markets are open-air, beachfront and feature many stalls with local artisans and live music performances.

The night markets were a lovely way to wrap up a day of action. Due to the positive feedback from this weekend trip, we will likely repeat it soon.
