Last Wednesday a mix of our adult and junior students went to Byron’s Main Beach to play beach soccer and beach cricket.
It was the first-time playing cricket for our junior students. Bella explained the relaxed rules of beach cricket and it didn’t take long for everyone to feel comfortable batting, bowling and fielding.
All students were familiar with soccer, so we got straight into it. Team captains, Dominic and Seb, chose their team members and then we started with a fun warmup game. During the warmup both teams seemed evenly matched but in our competitive match Dominic’s team dominated, winning 3-0.
On the way back to school, Bella guided our students through town pointing out important establishments and popular spots to eat, drink and shop along the way.
