Today the students explored the retail industry.
Nobuko gave me this report. “Firstly we went to the Eumundi Markets to look at stall operators. It was very interesting as there were many beautiful stalls that sell handmade, original products. Then we interviewed one of the stall holders to discuss his operations, licencing costs, time frames etc. He was very helpful and professional and patient with his explanations. It was a really good exercise to do”.
The students then visited a local business and were given an overview of importing materials including the currency exchange implications, manufacturing a product and wholesale and retail.
