Brisbane New Starters: A Fresh Start and New Adventures!
What an exciting Monday it has been! Today, we had the privilege of welcoming 6 vibrant, motivated, and dynamic new students into our Lexis Brisbane family. There’s nothing like the energy that comes with a fresh start, and today was bursting with it! From the moment our new students walked through the doors, we could feel the excitement in the air. This is the start of an incredible journey, and we couldn’t be happier to be part of it.
A Warm Welcome to Our New Explorers!
Each new student brought their unique personality, energy, and background, and we can already tell that they’re going to make incredible contributions to our lively, multicultural community. We couldn’t wait to get started! Here’s a quick introduction to the amazing new faces that joined us today:
South Korea: Yejin, Junseok
Japan: Nanako, Wakana, Toma
Taiwan: Wan-Hsuan
China: Meihan
With students coming from places as diverse as South Korea, Japan, Taiwan, China, and Colombia, it’s clear that we are once again creating a truly international, dynamic environment for learning. What a great mix of cultures, experiences, and aspirations!
Making New Connections – A Fun Morning of Introductions
We kicked things off with a friendly and warm welcome, introducing everyone to the school and getting to know each other. It’s always exciting to see the students make their first connections. Even though they’re just starting their journey, these new friends are already exchanging smiles, stories, and a few laughs as they began to feel at home.
Whether they were sharing where they’re from, what brought them to Brisbane, or what they hoped to achieve, it was clear that everyone was eager to learn and grow together. It’s not just about learning English here at Lexis – it’s about building lifelong friendships and connections that transcend borders.
Exploring Brisbane – City Tour Fun!
What better way to introduce our new students to Brisbane than with a tour of the city? After the campus introduction, we gathered for an afternoon walkabout, showing our new starters the best of Brisbane. From the iconic Clock Tower at City Hall to the bustling Queen Street Mall, and the beautiful South Bank area, we took in all the sights and sounds of this vibrant city.
Not only did this city tour give our new students the chance to get familiar with the area and know where the best shops and tourist spots are, but it also allowed them to bond with each other in a relaxed, fun environment. It was great to see everyone chatting and laughing, even though they were from different levels and backgrounds. By the end of the afternoon, many of them were already planning to meet up again outside of school. This sense of camaraderie and friendship is what makes Lexis Brisbane so special!
Even if they weren’t in the same class, the new students now have faces to look out for during breaks, in between classes, or even outside of school. It’s all about fostering a welcoming and supportive community, and we could already see that happening.
Old Students – Keep the Warm Welcome Going!
We also want to give a special shout-out to our returning students. Thank you for being so welcoming to our new starters today. You know just how exciting and nerve-wracking it can be to join a new school in a new country, so your warm smiles and friendly greetings go a long way in making everyone feel at home. Remember, we are all part of one big Lexis family, and it’s up to each of us to help create a space where everyone can thrive.
To our new students: you’ve made the right choice in joining us. At Lexis Brisbane, you’ll not only improve your English skills but also meet people from all over the world, share new experiences, and create memories that will last a lifetime. We’re so excited to be part of your journey, and we can’t wait to see how far you’ll go!

As we wrap up this fantastic day, we want to remind everyone – this is just the beginning! Whether you’re a new starter or a returning student, there are countless opportunities ahead. New experiences, new friends, and new knowledge await! The adventure has just begun, and we are here to support you every step of the way.
Despite the current Ex-Cyclone and less-than-ideal weather conditions, our brave new starters made it to school today, and we couldn’t be more grateful to have you with us! ️ We’re so excited to begin this journey together. We hope the weather improves soon, allowing you to fully explore and enjoy the beautiful city of Brisbane and everything it has to offer. Welcome aboard, and here’s to brighter days ahead!
