Exploring Brisbane with Friends| February Activities Recap
February was a month full of adventure, sports, and breathtaking views at Lexis English Brisbane! Our students had an incredible time exploring the city, staying active, and creating unforgettable memories. Let’s take a look at some of the highlights of the month!
♂️ Walking Tour to Story Bridge
On February 12, we set off on a walking tour to one of Brisbane’s most iconic landmarks—the Story Bridge! Not only did we enjoy a scenic stroll, but we also learned a fascinating fact: the Story Bridge was built during the Great Depression and provided jobs for thousands of workers. Today, it stands as a symbol of Brisbane’s resilience and history. The walk was a great way to soak in the city views while getting some fresh air and exercise!
Basketball Fun at Heritage Lane
February 19 brought out our most energetic and competitive students for a game of basketball at Heritage Lane on Turbot Street! It was an action-packed afternoon filled with fast-paced games, teamwork, and lots of laughter. Whether students were seasoned players or just trying it out for the first time, everyone had a blast. It was the perfect way to stay active and unwind after classes!
⛰️ Hiking Up Mt Coot-Tha!
To wrap up the month, we took on the challenge of hiking up Mt Coot-Tha. It was a bit of a workout, but reaching the summit was absolutely worth it! The panoramic view of Brisbane from the top was breathtaking, and it made all the effort worthwhile. We took in the sights, snapped some amazing photos, and celebrated our accomplishment together.
