The journey began with the students gathering at the campus entrance, each one equipped with a backpack filled with their favorite foods, representative of their diverse cultural backgrounds. As they started their walk, the vibrant energy of the group was palpable. Mr. Daniel took the lead, sharing interesting facts about the landmarks they passed, adding an educational twist to their leisurely stroll.

The first notable stop was at the iconic Story Bridge, an architectural marvel that connects the northern and southern parts of Brisbane. The students paused to take in the breathtaking views of the Brisbane River, snapping photos of the sparkling waters and the bustling cityscape. The bridge, with its intricate steel framework, provided a perfect backdrop for group photos, capturing the joy and excitement of the moment.

Continuing their journey, the group walked through the serene Riverside Walkway, where they were greeted by lush greenery and the gentle rustling of leaves. The students appreciated the contrast between the urban environment and the natural beauty of the riverbank. They spotted various bird species, their colorful plumage adding a splash of vibrancy to the scene. Some students, keen on photography, captured these moments, documenting the flora and fauna they encountered along the way.

As they approached New Farm Park, the scent of blooming roses filled the air, a delightful prelude to the beauty that awaited them. The park, with its sprawling lawns and well-maintained gardens, offered a perfect setting for their picnic. The students found a cozy spot under the shade of a grand old fig tree, spreading out their blankets and laying down their picnic baskets.

The highlight of the afternoon was undoubtedly the sharing of food. Each student had brought a dish from their home country, turning the picnic into a vibrant culinary festival. There was a delightful assortment of foods: sushi rolls from Japan, bulgogi from South Korea, xiaolongbao from Taiwan, and much more. Daniel encouraged the students to explain the significance of their dishes, fostering a deeper appreciation for each other’s cultures.

As the afternoon sun began to set, casting a golden glow over the park, the students gathered for one last group photo, coupled with their radiant smiles, made for a perfect end to a perfect day. They packed up their belongings, leaving behind only footprints and taking with them a treasure trove of memories.
